About the App
Hidden Devices Detector uses your device's
built-in magnetometer to display magnetic-field readings, along with a manual room-inspection
checklist. It does not confirm the presence of hidden cameras, microphones,
trackers, or other devices, results can be affected by nearby electronics,
magnets, metal, and environmental conditions.
Information We Collect
The app does not require an account and does
not collect names, emails, contacts, photos, location, camera/microphone data,
or payment information.
Magnetometer readings (X/Y/Z axis, strength,
sensor status) are processed locally on your device to power
the live graph, meter, and scan display. We do not upload or store these
readings on our servers, and scan summaries are not saved as history.
Data Stored Locally
The app saves a few settings on your device
only: vibration alert, keep-screen-on, detection and threshold. This stays
local until you clear app data or uninstall.
Permissions
The app uses the Vibration
permission for haptic alerts. It does not request camera, microphone, location,
contacts, or storage access. Internet access is used only to load ads.
Advertising
We use Google AdMob to show
ads. Google's Mobile Ads SDK may collect approximate location, advertising ID,
and device/ad interaction data for ad delivery, analytics, and fraud
prevention. This is governed by Google's own privacy policies. Where required,
we show a consent form (via Google's User Messaging Platform) so you can manage
ad personalization preferences.

Data Sharing & Security
We do not sell your personal information.
Data may be shared with Google as described above, or disclosed if required by
law. Readings are processed locally, we don't operate a server storing scan
data. No electronic transmission is 100% secure.
Data Retention
We don't retain magnetometer readings or
scan history remotely. Local settings persist until you reset them, clear app
data, or uninstall. Third-party ad providers retain data per their own
policies.
Children's Privacy
Not directed at children under 13; we don't
knowingly collect their personal information. Ads are managed through AdMob's
age and consent controls.
Safety Disclaimer
This app is an educational and manual
inspection aid, not a substitute for professional security inspection or
specialist detection equipment. A high reading does not prove a hidden device
is present. Do not open, remove, or tamper with smoke detectors, outlets,
chargers, vents, or other fixtures while using this app.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app or
legal requirements change. Updates will show a revised "Last updated"
date.
